Multicenter Analysis of the Use of Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) for Management of MPN-Associated Portal Hypertension

In this study, the researchers determined that transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS) may be an effective intervention for myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs)-associated portal hypertension regardless of etiology. However, TIPS thrombosis is a frequent complication in the MPN population and indefinite anticoagulation post-TIPS should be considered.
