Young Women Require Formal Assessment to Identify Breast Cancer Risk

Half of the young women presenting to an academic surgical breast practice would qualify for mammography screening starting at age 40. According to the newly updated guidelines, these young at-risk women may be missed, researchers reported at the 2016 American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) Annual Meeting.
