Patients with essential thrombocythemia and polycythemia vera are at an increased risk for thromboembolic and hemorrhagic events. The authors present a unique case of essential thrombocythemia causing extensive arterial thromboembolism, despite the patient being on adequate antithrombotic agents including warfarin and aspirin.
