Independent Association of Male Sex With Presentation and Clinical Outcomes in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms

Data from a prospective, observational cohort study analyzing 630 patients with polycythemia vera, essential thrombocytosis (ET), or primary myelofibrosis (PMF) demonstrated that males have inferior survival outcomes, compared with females and that they present more often with PMF, versus female patients who present more often with ET.
