A Letter From The Editor

Welcome to www.advancedpractitioner.com, the website home for the journal The Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology (JAdPrO)! JAdPrO is a new journal aimed at the advanced practice clinician working in the specialty of oncology, including nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists and physician assistants. Advanced practitioners (APs) work in all different arenas of oncology care and are increasing in numbers to meet the challenges of today's healthcare environment.

As a group, APs require updated information to care for patients with cancer in this constantly changing speciality and we hope that JAdPrO will be able to meet your needs. Our journal is published six times a year and is available in print and an on-line version which may be accessed on this website. We want to provide helpful review articles and valuable practice information within our specialty features, which focus on pharmacologic reviews, clinical snaphots of symptom management strategies and other timely and useful information. Our goal is to support professional development of the AP and encourage APs to share their experiences with others. To that end, we encourage and support new authors to consider writing for us!
